Australian Centre for the Moving Image excursion with FCE class

The Australian Centre of the Moving Image is an exhibition about television, movies, cinema, video-games, the evolution of new technologies and how these things have influenced our life. It’s situated in Federation Square in Melbourne city centre and the visitors can travel around the world of imagination.

On one hand, we can find a very big gallery where it shows how cinema, TV and images were created. In the first part of the gallery we can enjoy the evolution and changes that this world has had. After that, inside the gallery, it shows the video-game technology, 3D images and the most historical movies ever.

On the other hand, in the second gallery, we can see the communications system that man has made around his life and how this communication has been related to the world of images.

Overall, I would definitely recommend going to see ACMI because it’s really interesting and it’s a different kind of museum that have ever seen. You can interact with so many different inventions, images, movies or video-games. Apart of that, it’s absolutely free to enter and you’ll learn and entertain yourself seeing a thousand new experiences.
